Hazlet Township Library
The Hazlet branch is part of the large Monmouth County Library system. Find out about locations, library hours, and browse the vast online collection.

Community Assistance
Monmouth ACTS (Assisting Community Through Services) brings together county human services and private nonprofits to facilitate access to services in mental health, addiction, aging, housing, childcare, transportation and more.

Create an account on the Hazlet Recreation registration system
Registering makes it easy to enroll in programs as they are announced. This system is used for all Recreation and Hazlet Swim Club programs. Sign up at Hazlet.RecDesk.com.

Open a business
Prior to opening, a new business will require a Use permit and certificate of occupancy from the Zoning Dept., fire registration from the Fire Prevention Bureau and a business license and recycling form from the Municipal Clerk You can find these applications on the township website, or come in person to Town Hall for guidance.

Pay taxes
Tax payments are due on February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1.
Bills are mailed out only once a year. This bill should be passed on to the new owner or paying agent upon a sale or exchange of the property. The office will charge for duplicate bills. Visit Tax Collector's webpage.

Find out if you are in a flood zone
We encourage you to please contact the township Community Rating System (CRS) coordinator to check your flood zones and answer any questions. Contact CRS.

Attend a Hazlet event
Our township celebrates Hazlet Day in the fall with a community fair. We also typically hold ceremonies for Memorial Day and Veterans Day and set off fireworks on the Fourth of July. Watch out for Santa on the firetruck at Christmastime! He makes the rounds of all the neighborhoods.

Volunteer your expertise on a local board or committee
Contribute your time or talent to a cause you care about: economic development, the environment, addiction prevention, recreation, open space or land use. Submit the application form today.

Access voter services
You can register to vote, find your polling place, look up our county's early voting sites, get vote by mail ballot request form, find a Secure Ballot Drop Box location to return your ballot, and more, all at vote.nj.gov.  The Monmouth County election site includes these services, plus specific information for Monmouth County at MonmouthCountyVotes.com, including election night results.

Snowstorms

When snow falls, residents are required by ordinance to move their cars off streets to allow DPW to clear the roads. Residents may park in township lots or at the large Swim Club parking lot at the municipal complex.

Garage Sales

The township hosts two popular town-wide garage sales, usually in April and October. You can sign up to put your address and featured items on the Google Map. You may also hold a garage sale at any time, no permit needed.
